Filling the Void: series of sand castings

Standing tall like Silent Gods, like Ghosts from Nights’ Past, Littman is just trying to make a good impression with this Empire of Empties.

Her sand cast bottle Shrines are all about Filling the Void, the one left by absent alcoholic fathers, the one from blacked out lost memories and the one pressed into the sand with expert care and love.

This collection was on display at the Center for the Visual Arts in Wausau as part of the Indiana Green Invitational 2021. Some are currently on display at SOMI Gallery in Sturgeon Bay, WI.
